New Video by ICONICS : Hyper Historian™ V10.8 - High Speed, Mission Critical Plant Data Historian

7/17/2013
ICONICS has recently created an exciting new video, showcasing our Hyper Historian v10.8 features. See how Hyper Historian brings Big Data Analysis capabilities to enterprise manufacturers.

ICONICS, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and provider of automation software solutions for HMI/SCADA, Manufacturing Intelligence, and Building Automation, is proud to announce Hyper Historian V10.8. Hyper Historian is a high speed, reliable and robust industrial plant historian designed for mission-critical applications.

Many of us are charged with the responsibility to drive improvement, whether that be in the form of increased production, improved quality, reduced energy use or reduced carbon emissions. To identify improvement opportunities and to help make the right decisions to deploy resources to achieve the biggest gains, manufacturers need to utilize both real-time and historical data, and lots of it. Today, we call this ’Big Data’.

Manufacturers need equipment data so they can validate and verify that their assets are producing what they were contracted to produce and are as efficient as they were guaranteed to be. Hyper Historian helps users understand the present compared to the past by comparing like processes and assets and by providing the capability to collect, compress, archive, analyze, and visualize Big Data.

Hyper Historian is designed to log data at greater than 100,000 tags per second and works with multiple data sources across the enterprise including OPC UA Servers, OPC DA Servers, OPC XML DA Servers, BACnet, SNMP devices and many more. ICONICS Hyper Historian also provides full, Web-based configuration via its integrated engineering Workbench. Optional redundant configurations are supported using redundant Collectors and redundant Loggers. The secure Hyper Historian supports Store-and-Forward technology and includes the ability to source and merge data from any open database, as well as from other historians that might currently be installed.

Watch this new exciting video to learn more and see ICONICS’ Hyper Historian in action.

Eliminating Paper from the Plant Floor

Recently, industrial and manufacturing processes have advanced to become more efficient and automated than ever before. But, the data collection processes used by most companies today has remained relatively unchanged. Operators still must make rounds filling out stacks of paperwork in a time-consuming and outdated process. The good news is there is a solution to these outdated processes and it comes in the form of a handheld or tablet PC that enforces timely and complete data collection, ensures that best practices are followed by field workers and eliminates transcription into Plant Historians and other back-end databases.

AuditMatic is an easily implemented mobile-worker solution that improves and streamlines all data collection and reporting processes by eliminating the need for paper forms and transcription. AuditMatic gets rid of time spent filling out stacks of paper forms, filing them, and transcribing them. Effective task management and decision support programs in the AuditMatic handheld client guides data collectors and makes it simple for them to store and share that data.

Once a form is created, the AuditMatic handheld client guides operators along the inspection route. To ensure data integrity, supervisors can mark inspection stations with barcode tags that must be scanned before the corresponding form can be filled out. This process makes operator routes easy to follow while ensuring compliance assurance.

After data collection is complete, the handheld AuditMatic client is plugged into its network-connected cradle, where all the data is automatically synchronized with digital log books and plant historians. Also, AuditMatic can be programmed to automatically send that data to supervisors and stakeholders to increase visibility and ensure best practices.

So if your looking to update your data collection process and more efficiently reduce downtime, respond to non-conformance's, protect brand integrity and share best practices throughout the enterprise you should consider looking into Auditmatic. It's time to say goodbye to your Clipboard and Pencil.

Use handheld and tablet computers to modernize and improve:
  • Plant Operator Rounds
  • Control Room Logbooks
  • Health, Safety and Environmental Audits
  • Safety Equipment Inspections
  • Workplace Safety Audits
